Extra activities are offered everyday from June 24rth to October 12th, 2009 at the summit and base of the mountain. Reservations can be made in person at the birdshow, by phone at (819) 681-1779, or through the Tremblant Activity Centre.

APPRENTICE-FALCONER
In the company of a falconer and a trained raptor (a Harris’s Hawk from the Southwestern US and Mexico), the guests/apprentices will get to experience first-hand the thrill of flying a bird of prey and having it land on their glove.
The falconer will introduce the apprentice to the basics of falconry including:

• The characteristics of birds of prey,
• The historical and modern importance of falconry,
• Falconry equipment,
• Bird handling and free-flight.

Equipped with a glove, a falconry bag and food for the hawk, each apprentice will call the raptor to his or her glove several times. A must for animal lovers!

Departure Schedule: Seven days per week, from June 24rth to October 12th, 2009.

Location: Meeting at the Tremblant Activity Centre or at the show site at the summit of Mont Tremblant. The activity takes place on the mountain's hiking trails.

Important Information: Proper footwear and outdoor clothing is preferable as we will be walking on hiking trails. Bring your camera. Youths under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult; children under 5 years can accompany the group but cannot handle the bird on the glove.

 Schedule :
 Daily, reservations are required.
 Duration:  45 to 60 minutes
 Rates :  50$ (1st adult) + 10$ (per additional participant).
Maximum of 6 participants.
Taxes and gondola not included.


FALCONER FOR A DAY
This unforgettable experience is aimed at young people interested in working with birds or animals, in being a falconer, in becoming an animal trainer or working in a zoo setting in their future career. Your teen will spend all day with our team of raptor-biologists; he or she will get to meet our birds, help with some daily tasks and even help us out with the last show of the day!

Participants will also get to do the following:

* Help with food preparation and feed birds at the end of the day,
* Learn about bird training and falconry,

* Handle a raptor on the glove and in free-flight!

Departure Schedule: By appointment, reservations are required. From June 24rth to October 12th, 2009.

Location: Meeting either at the Tremblant Activity Centre, the base of the gondola or at the summit, the activity takes place at the summit of Mont Tremblant.

Important Information: Proper footwear and outdoor clothing is essential. Bring your camera, your lunchbox and a bottle of water (1 litre). Youths must be 12 to 17 years old, maximum one participant per day. No rebates offered for half days.

 Daily, reservations are required.
 Duration:  from 11am to 4:30pm
 Rates :  200$ (taxes not included). The gondola ride to the summit is included for the participant.
